Fiscal Collapse

No, I'm not talking about the jacked up "Deal" from the Senate. Nope, I'm talking about the Republican Party which helped pass this monstrosity.

Very little in cuts for a lot in tax hikes. That's the "compromise" Republicans made. Their position will be even weaker in a couple of days when the new Congress is seated yet, somehow, they're trying to claim that they'll hold the line when it comes to the debt ceiling debates.

Despite the Tea Party wave in 2010, I have yet to see Congressional Republicans hold the line on anything. It's been one cave after another. They are refusing to actually stand on the moral high ground and speak against the plunder of American citizens by their government simply because they are "undesirable" by the party in power.

I kind of worry when government officials find the successful members of the population undesirable. It doesn't bode well for the future of the nation.
