You know there's a problem when the idea that the Senate will pass a budget is news.
"We Democrats have always intended to do a budget this year," [Senator Chuck] Schumer claimed, reiterating that the Democrats' budget will raise taxes while offering overhauls to the tax code likely to find Republican support.
"We're going to do a budget this year and it's going to have revenues in it. And our Republican colleagues better get used to that fact," the senator added on NBC’s "Face the Nation."
In other words, we conned you into raise taxes last month and we're going to do it again.
"Yes, it’s got to be balanced," said [White House senior adviser David] Plouffe, who expects to leave his first-floor West Wing office soon. "We need spending cuts, entitlement reform and revenue. We have to have that."
A balanced budget? Woohoo! Oh, wait. He doesn't want the budget to be balanced, he just wants to be sure that all sorts of new taxes are passed so that the Democrats can go on another spending spree with your money. It's the Democrat way.
